About the role/team
We’re seeking an entrepreneurial Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) to lead Metizoft’s global sales efforts and build a scalable, high-performing commercial engine. You’ll be a key member of the executive team and play a pivotal role in shaping our international growth strategy, evolving our commercial function from founder- and project-led sales to a structured, repeatable, and data-driven operation.
This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who knows what great looks like. You’ve done this before and understand what it takes to turn potential into performance. You won’t just set direction; you’ll help the team win by building systems, structure, and momentum.
You’ll collaborate closely with the CEO and executive team, our regional sales teams, and the international operation in Asia (including the CEO APAC) to drive coordinated growth across markets. You’ll lead with clarity, replicate what works, and strengthen alignment across sales, marketing, and product as we scale globally.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and implement sales strategies that support Metizoft’s growth ambitions and strengthen the company’s position in strategic markets
- Build and lead an international sales team focused on results, growth, and high customer satisfaction
- Drive commercial growth through the establishment of agent networks, strategic partnerships, and international expansion, with a particular focus on the APACME region, in close collaboration with our offices in Singapore
- Identify new markets and business opportunities based on market analysis, customer needs, and technology trends
- Collaborate closely with product development to ensure Metizoft’s solutions meet market demands
- Monitor and report on sales performance, and optimize sales processes through data-driven insights
- Own the marketing strategy and brand positioning, in close collaboration with the marketing department, to ensure alignment across sales, marketing, and products
- Represent Metizoft at trade shows, conferences, and industry events to enhance the company’s global visibility and deliver presentations

What you’ll need to succeed in this role
- Proven experience in building and scaling B2B sales teams — ideally within SaaS or other technology-driven industries
- A strategic and structured approach to commercial growth, with the ability to translate insight into market positioning and execution
- Deep understanding of the full sales funnel, from lead generation and qualification to deal closing, retention, and expansion
- A data-driven mindset, with confidence using CRM systems and sales analytics to guide decisions and performance
- A hands-on leadership style with the ability to coach, create clarity, and be a visible driver of execution
- The ability to build strong cross-functional alignment with marketing, product, and customer success
While not essential, the following are considered valuable skills that will help you hit the ground running and contribute to faster success in the role:
- Experience in or exposure to the maritime industry, including relevant networks. If this is uncharted territory for you, don’t worry – we’ll get you up to speed
- Experience developing agent-based sales channels
- Background from a SaaS company or experience bringing a SaaS platform to market
- Prior experience in the APACME region, given its strategic importance to Metizoft’s international growth

Important requirements
Working languages: Norwegian and English. Professional working proficiency in both languages is a requirement.
Location: The role is based at our headquarters in Fosnavåg. We’re open to a hybrid, but we expect a regular weekly presence during the first year to support relationship-building and close collaboration with the team.
Travel Readiness: Willingness to travel extensively to build relationships and drive adoption in key markets is essential.
